Serious Road Traffic Collision – New Road/Roxton Road

Officers from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Collision Investigation Unit have launched an investigation into a serious road traffic collision which happened on October 8th.

The collision happened on Roxton Road, Great Barford at its junction with New Road at 8.30am and involved two vehicles, a Ford Transit panel van which was in collision with a bus.

The driver of the van was airlifted to Addenbrooks Hospital suffering from serious head injuries. He remains at the hospital and is described as being in a serious condition.

The driver of the bus was not injured but one of his 47 passengers reported minor facial bruising.

A full collision investigation is underway and anyone who has information relating to this collision is urged to contact the officer in charge of the case, PC Gareth Rees, at the Collision Investigation Unit, on 01438 757500, or Bedfordshire Police on 101, or text information to 07786 200011.

Extraordinary Meeting – 11th October – Anti Social Behavior

An extraordinary meeting has been called by the Parish Council to discuss the anti-social behavior in the village and actions we can take. We also need to discuss funding the emergency repairs to equipment that is now in a dangerous state thanks to the damage caused by this behavior. Full details can be found here in the agenda.
